Superintendent’s Letter

Dear Galena Park ISD Community,

As we close another remarkable school year, I would like to
take a moment to reflect on the incredible accomplishments
and growth we have witnessed throughout the District. It has
been a year filled with hard work, dedication, and success,
and I am immensely proud of our students, staff, and families
who have contributed to making Galena Park ISD a Great
Place to Be!

This issue of the End-of-Year GPS Magazine is a celebration
of the outstanding achievements that have marked this
year. Within these pages, you will find stories that highlight
the brilliance and resilience of our students, showcasing their
accomplishments in academics and beyond. Their success is
a testament to the unwavering support and encouragement
from our dedicated educators and families.

We are also excited to introduce you to GPISD’s new website,
a modern platform designed to enhance communication
and engagement within our community. The website serves as
a valuable resource, keeping you informed and connected
with the latest news and events. Furthermore, we are thrilled to share the approval of schematic
designs for two major bond projects: the Cimarron Elementary School Replacement and Galena
Park High School Phases 3-5. These projects represent our commitment to providing state-of-the-
art learning environments that inspire and empower our students. In addition, this issue features
inspiring alumni spotlights, highlighting the diverse paths and accomplishments of our graduates.
Their stories remind us of the lasting impact of a Galena Park ISD education and the bright futures
that await our students.

As we look forward to the 2025-2026 school year, let us take this summer to relax, recharge, and
prepare for another year of learning and growth. I encourage everyone to enjoy a safe and
fulfilling summer break, filled with opportunities for exploration and discovery.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school community. Together,
we have achieved great things, and the future holds even more promise. I look forward to
welcoming you back in the fall, ready to embark on another exciting year at Galena Park ISD.
