The 2024-2025 school year also includes
the launch of GPISD Ambassadors. To
fortify our vision of Excellence In All, For
All, By All, we gathered and trained
dedicated teachers, students, and
community members to champion the
successes of our District. To our delight,
our neighboring school districts were
beginning similar work of cultivating
camaraderie among educators while
addressing attitudes and mindsets
about public schools. Galena Park ISD, Promoting Positivity
Channelview ISD, Sheldon ISD, and Galena Park ISD Ambassadors
Friends of Texas Public Schools began an ambassador program that works within and among
our districts. We will tell our stories, lift the spirits of our colleagues, address misinformation and
politicization, and–most importantly–remind our communities that our public school districts
are the best choice for quality education! Together, we have begun to increase productivity,
support the work of each other, and empower each other.

Galena Park ISD Ambassadors will share remarkable stories of growth, innovation, and
achievement that define our schools; thereby, creating an environment that promotes positivity
and seeks to enhance local perceptions of GPISD schools and public education. The Galena
Park ISD Ambassadors will also serve as liaisons and catalysts for a positive culture to help
shape compassionate advocates for the success and well-being of each GPISD student, team
member, and the GPISD school community.

As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, let us embrace the spirit of continued excellence
and the promise of collaboration that the Bond and Ambassador program represent. More than
financial investments and new initiatives, they are a testament to our collective dedication to
enriching the lives of GPISD students.

Remember, you too, can begin or continue to get involved and partner with Galena Park ISD
because it is an incredibly rewarding experience that strengthens our community and enriches
the lives of our students. Whether you choose to volunteer your time, attend one of our exciting
events, join a community group meeting, participate in the annual Veterans Day luncheon, or
collaborate with the Education Foundation, your contribution makes a vital difference. Together,
we can ensure another year in a Great Place to Be.
