COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS
Galena Park Schools
As we reflect on the Spring semester, we thank you for your
patience and understanding during this unprecedented
time. We know this semester has not been easy, but with
the support of the community, our stakeholders and
District staff, we have successfully completed the Spring
‘at-home’ semester!
First and foremost, we would like to thank YOU for
becoming an at-home teacher to your child(ren) and
helping them manage their assignments and other
learning experiences throughout the course of the
pandemic. We hope during this time you and your
family have shared laughs and felt a renewed sense of the importance
Inside this issue: of family time. We have heard stories of mothers teaching their children how to cook, big
brothers and sisters helping their younger siblings with school work and fathers playing sports

The success we have achieved with distance learning
would not be possible without our dedicated principals,
assistant principals,
counselors, teachers and all of the campus staff
who have worked around the clock to ensure students
have the proper tools necessary to continue learning
at home. We have seen so many teachers conducting
Zoom meetings with their students and providing
tutoring sessions to ensure they are understanding the
material.
We miss all of our students and staff dearly and
cannot wait until we can all be together again. Until
that day comes, we hope you all enjoy your time with
your families and enjoy the summer break.
