ABOUT US

Galena Park Independent School District is a diverse and culturally rich school district located on the east side of
Houston. We have been leading, learning and serving the Galena Park, Jacinto City, Woodland Acres and North
Shore communities since 1930. Established with just one school house for grades 1 through 11, Galena Park ISD
now encompasses 34 square miles with 34 district campuses and facilities.

Through the years, we have been on a journey to fulfill our mission of preparing students to become productive
citizens and lifelong learners who will be prepared to join the workforce or pursue higher education.

Our goal is to ensure every student has an equal opportunity to succeed in life and contribute to our vibrant
community. Galena Park ISD has an exceptional reputation for stellar academic achievement, strong student
support systems, established visual and performing arts, competitive athletics, career and technical education
and state of the art integrated technology. Our success is on display through both academics and extracurricular
activities.
