Galena Park ISD Trustees place a strong emphasis on maintaining the financial integrity of the District,
ensuring that all student, staff and program needs are met while maintaining a balanced budget and a low
tax rate.

The Board is committed to attracting and retaining high-quality teachers by offering competitive salaries
and approving pay increases for all employees during the past 5 years. Employees’ salaries and benefits
are competitive with other districts in the Houston area. Below are a few examples of how the Board
