ASBO Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award
Galena Park ISD earned the Association of School Business Officials Certificate
of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) for excellence and best practices in
financial reporting. This award has been bestowed upon the District for fiscal
years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

ASBO Pathway to the Meritorious Budget Award
Galena Park ISD has been awarded the Pathway to the Meritorious Budget
Award by the Association of School Business Officials for demonstrating
excellence in school budget presentation and setting a high standard for
transparent budget development. The District has earned this award for fiscal
years 2016 and 2017.

GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
Galena Park ISD was recognized by the Government Finance Officers
Association (GFOA) with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence
in Financial Reporting Program (CAFR Program). The GFOA recognizes
individual governments which prepare comprehensive annual financial reports to
provide evidence of the spirit of transparency and full disclosure. This prestigious
recognition has been awarded to the District for fiscal years 2012, 2013, 2014, and
2015.

TASBO Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations
The TASBO Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations recognized the school district’s achievement in
implementing best practices in the area of purchasing. This has been awarded to the District for fiscal years
2015, 2016, and 2017.
