aulina Perales, North Shore Senior High
School senior, was selected to receive
a $30,000 CMiC Software Allen Berg
PScholarship from the ACE Mentor Program
of America, Inc.
The ACE Mentor Program mentors high school
students and inspires them to pursue careers in
architecture, construction and engineering. Each
team at ACE is made up of 15-25 students and their
industry mentors. The teams are set up to emulate
an actual design team, with students being guided
through a mock design project with their team
architect, engineer and construction management
mentors. Mentors guide the students as they work
towards a final project, introducing them to careers, industry vocabulary and various roles companies
play in the construction industry. At the end of the year, all of the teams gather for a final presentation
night, where they present their designs.

t the May Galena Park Community Council PTA (GPCC PTA) meeting, students from North Shore
Senior High School, Galena Park High School, and CTE Early College High School received
scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $500. The GPCC PTA awarded a total of $22,000 to these
