nheuser- Busch International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 919 donated $2,700 to be split
among three Galena Park ISD (GPISD) elementary schools on Friday, October 26. Galena Park
Elementary, MacArthur Elementary and Jacinto City Elementary each received a $900 check to
Apurchase school supplies, books and technology for the classrooms.

“We will be using the money to purchase books for our library,” Ms. Maria Munoz, MacArthur Elementary
principal said. “We want to make sure our students have plenty of books to take home to enjoy with their
families.”
The Teamsters have
been giving back to the
GPISD community for
many years and want to
make sure the students
at our campuses have
the books, technology
and resources they
need to further their
education.

“In recent years, there
has been a lot of growth
in our area,” Jim Osborn,
principal officer said.
“We want to make
sure our kids have the
supplies and resources
they need at school.”
