Houston hosted the 39 Annual Touchdown

Club Awards Dinner. The Touchdown Club
Oof Houston recognized the Top 10 offensive
and defensive football athletes, as well as the area’s Top
10 coaches. The North Shore Mustangs were well represented
for the evening being the only school to have a finalist in all three
categories.
Coach John Kay was named the 2018 Coach of the Year, Tony
Bradford, Jr. walked away with the title of the Touchdown Club’s
Defensive Player of the Year and James Taylor was nominated for
Touchdown Club’s Offensive Player of the Year.
Coach Kay has been the head coach for North Shore for the past four
years and led the Mustangs to win the 2015 State Championship title.
This is Coach Kay’s fourth time to be nominated for Coach of the Year.
Bradford, who is on the defensive line, is committed to play football
at Texas Tech University.
