A true artist sees the value of every brushstroke used to create a masterpiece. Based
on the combined efforts of students, parents, and staff throughout the 2021-2022 school
year, Galena Park ISD earned an accountability rating of ‘A’ from the Texas Education
Agency (TEA). As measured by the TEA accountability system, Galena Park ISD
showcased substantial improvements in student achievement, in
spite of the hardships created by COVID-19.
Based on our 2021-2022 academic performance, Galena Park ISD
is one of only 340 traditional school districts in the state and one of A-RATED
14 in the region to earn a grade of ‘A.’ This placed Galena Park ISD DISTRICT
in the top one-third of the state’s 1,195 rated districts, a significant
reflection of our commitment to all students.
TEA noted 75 distinctions earned by our campuses. Distinctions are awarded to
campuses for being in the top quarter of comparison campuses from across the state.
