Early Learning
Opportunities
The preschool years are a critical time in a student’s
education. Learning experiences during these important,
formative years provide a foundation to guide children
academically, socially and emotionally.
Students come to school with vastly different ability levels
and experiences. We want our youngest learners to
experience and gain early success
academically and socially.
GPISD is one of the few districts
who provide a dedicated
classroom paraprofessional in its
CO-CURRICULAR EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACADEMIC pre-k programs, making it possible
for students to benefit from a 1 to
11 teacher to student ratio.
In addition to these
learning opportunities,
GPISD utilized 2016
bond funds to
open a Northside
Childcare Center at the site of
the old North Shore Elementary
School which provides
daycare services
and early learning
opportunities to our
youngest learners.
