03 SUPPORT FOR EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN ACCORDANCE

WITH STATE-ESTABLISHED STANDARDS

The Class of 2025 is already on track to meet or EXCEED last year’s performance on the Texas
Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) as measured on the Board of Trustees KPI Dashboard in
March 2025

More than 90% of all students enrolled in Dual Credit courses during the fall of 2024 earned
their credit indicating performance levels will EXCEED the previous year�

3.2-EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT FOR PROGRAMS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO HIGH PERFORMANCE AT
DISTRICT AND CAMPUS LEVELS

GPISD is intentional about providing support structures for students to feel safe, comfortable,
and respected enough to be where success begins at school and in the classroom�

School safety and security benefits students, staff, and the wider school community by
creating a safe and secure environment, reducing violence and bullying, and promoting a
positive learning environment� These benefits also extend to parents, offering them peace
of mind knowing their children are in a protected environment� The Board of Trustees has
consistently advocated and committed needed resources to ensure safe and healthy
environments, not only in the classrooms, but in the digital world as well�

Galena Park ISD partners with BARK for Schools to monitor the Google environment for
profanity, hate speech, bullying, sexual content, violence, self-harm or suicidal content,
drug or alcohol content, depression, weapons, risky app or site usage, medically concerning
content, and anxiety� BARK uses a human review of Severe Alerts to ensure District personnel
are aware of the concerning content�
