Leaving A Legacy
Galena Park ISD is a great place to be, and
honoring those who have achieved greatness
and sacrificed their time for our students and
community is part of our legacy.
Randy Weisinger, former North Shore High
School basketball coach, exemplifies the type
of educator Galena Park ISD holds in such high
esteem. Weisinger turned the gymnasium at
North Shore 9 Grade Center into his classroom

and delivered life lessons for over 12 years to his
students. Those life lessons will forever echo on
the basketball court, now formally known as the

Galena Park ISD hosted a naming ceremony on August 6, 2021, to unveil the gymnasium’s new

family members, and the GPISD Board of Trustees for this special occasion.
The influence of Randy Weisinger and his tenure at Galena Park ISD cannot be understated. He
joins a long list of influential educators and community members who have made a difference
in the lives of Galena Park ISD children. We honor Mr. Weisinger and celebrate the many people
who have left an indelible mark on the history of Galena Park ISD.
