Excellence in all, for all, by all� Those are words Galena Park ISD strives to instill in students�
The tradition of excellence runs deep in Galena Park ISD, and none of the accolades listed
below would have been possible without the Board of Trustees’ heartfelt encouragement
and commitment to fund quality educational programming� The Board Trustees are
enthusiastic cheerleaders for the District’s students and staff� These accomplishments of
GPISD students, teachers, and administrators are an outstanding reflection of the Board’s
unwavering support�

Dr. John Moore was named the Region IV Superintendent of the Year!

Galena Park High School’s Assistant Principal, Sarah Castillo, for being
Career and Technical Education Department for being named a CTE named the 2024-2025 Region IV High School Assistant Principal of the
District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas. Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.

One of the most cherished honors Galena Park ISD has recently garnered
Darrow Adams, Coordinator for Military Science, and NSE, CMS, GPMS,
NSMS, and NSSHS for earning Purple Star Designations is the recognition received by four of our campus counseling
teams for the Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for
for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years.
