09 PUBLIC RELATIONS EFFORTS, INCLUDING COMMUNITY AWARENESS

Galena Park ISD trustees and administrators strive everyday to maintain an excellent,
positive relationship with the Galena Park ISD community by encouraging meaningful, two-
way communication with all stakeholders� The District’s Communications Department is
committed to providing information by utilizing media platforms including Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, Instagram, the local newspaper, school/district marquees, direct calls and text
messaging, emails, letters, posters and flyers� Through these platforms, the District informs the
community about student academic and extracurricular competitions and achievements,
new policies and procedures, special events and fun activities at each of our 26 campuses�
