Taking care of the needs of students and their families
is a responsibility GPISD takes very seriously. One of the
ways we do this is by providing meals for our virtual and
face-to-face students. We know nutrition is an important
component of learning and keeping our minds strong!
The GPISD Student Nutrition Department provided over
700 thousand curbside and weekend meals to students
during the spring 2020 semester. We also partner with
the Houston Food Bank and Brighter Bites to ensure our
families have food on the table.
In GPISD, we love Mondays! This is
the day we get to hear Moore’s
Monday Message from our
Superintendent, Dr. John Moore.
During the Monday message, Dr.
Moore takes an opportunity to
connect with the school community
to share timely and important
information. Sometimes those
messages are motivational
— to inspire us to dig deep
and finish the semester
on a high note — and
sometimes they are
informational — letting us
know what GPISD has in
store for students and staff
from week to week.
