January is School Board Recognition Month, and this year’s theme is “Forward, Together.” The
leadership of our Board of Trustees has helped Galena Park ISD move forward together and
continue the work of providing students in our community with the best possible education.

Our school board members are volunteers who give a significant amount of time to serve in this
capacity. They play an active role in our district and keep a pulse on the community to ensure
decisions made during school board meetings reflect the values and priorities of all stakeholders.
