SCHOOL TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVES
Multimedia & Coding Club K-12
Because of the Board’s unwavering commitment to providing opportunities for students to
participate in extracurricular activities, every campus in Galena Park ISD now has a Multimedia
& Coding Club! In these clubs, students learn and practice skills for different media, hardware,
and software to use during the annual contest As a special point of pride this year, the
North Shore Elementary School club created and submitted a video for Chick-fil-A’s Teacher
Appreciation Week contest… and they won!
4.5-EVIDENCE OF EXEMPLARY STUDENT PERFORMANCE
The Board supports district programs, experiences, and contests by including them in a very
generous budget, attending performances and events, and giving recognition at Board
meetings Our Board has recognized more than 200 students this year Students also received
